No matter how badly you messed things up, or how many mistakes you may have made in the past, you need to know that you are righteous.

Too many of God’s children walk around carrying a load of guilt because of some failure they experienced. They cannot even lift their head up to God let alone pray victoriously. As long as we remember that we are righteous, then we won’t be tempted to give up.

We did not become righteous because of anything that we have done. We receive it by faith in Jesus Christ. The very "Righteousness of God" has been given to us because of the sacrifice Jesus made for us.

Righteousness brings many benefits. According to Psalms 34:17, "The righteous cry and the Lord heareth and delivereth them out of their troubles". When trouble comes our way, we must remember that we are righteous. Only then can we expect God’s deliverance. We will never become righteous until we know that we are righteous.

That’s not all. Psalms 92:12 says, "The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree". Have you ever seem a palm tree? They grow like crazy. Righteousness also helps our children. The seed of the righteous shall be delivered Psalms 11:21. We can use that promise when praying for our children. The Apostle Peter said, "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers 1 Peter 3:21. God is watching over us at all times. And it’s not because we are sinners, but because we are righteous.

We must not allow the devil to rob us of even one of the many blessing of righteousness. Don’t listen to the lies when he says we are not worthy of God’s blessings. Run him off. Shout it out loud! "I am the righteousness of God". Then step out in faith, and enjoy the privileges God has prepared for us.
