Where Are You Right Now
At present, we exist on the bridge between two worlds: the world of the spirit, and that of the flesh (humanity). We have seen pictures and heard over and over that heaven is a wonderful place. We have heard everything from heaven having wealth so immense that the streets are paved with gold, health is so abundant that sickness does not exist, and joy so plentiful it extinguishes all sorrow. It is the place one dreams of going when they depart this earth. When I hear people telling me how wonderful life will be when "we all get to heaven," my response to them is, " Imagine how wonderful it would be if you had access to the riches of heaven right now." I tell them to visualize in their minds a bridge with boundless resources flowing down to meet each and every one of our needs. Their responses to my suggestion are generally the same. "That’s a wonderful thought." The sad reality is that to these individuals this is "just a thought". They cannot imagine having their needs satisfied, not to mention enjoying abundance. To these individuals, heaven isn’t possible in this life. It consists of the things from which dreams originate. Christ’s stripes, bruises, and death, though tragic, are meaningless to them. The enemy has deceived them into believing that riches and prosperity will never be a reality in their lives. The lie he told Eve in the garden was not the only lie Satan has told. This is a lie also. Wealth, abundance, health, prosperity, and peace are realities that should exist in our lives right now. Where are you in your belief? Is heaven to you just a place of unimaginable bliss, or do you enjoy heaven right here on earth? If you do, then you are receiving what Christ sacrificed his life for you to enjoy. As we struggle with whether we should possess all that God has for us, I would like to point out that the spiritual world is just as real, if not more, than this natural one. In fact, before the fall of man, the spirit world was the only one that existed. It is the will of God that we enjoy and possess all that he has. Sin is what caused the great divide. Christ’s death is what joined us together with the Father. It is the sole reason for our existence. The reason the bridge exists as I mentioned previously, is because of sin. The material world was brought about by the love of the Father. He loved mankind and wanted desperately to make atonement for his sins. As long as Adam remained true to his Creator, he was a part of the spirit world. Sin caused a bridge to be formed between God and man. Eternal bliss, shamelessness, no longer existed; but fear, doubt, shame and death were formed. As man left his eternal home, a natural one was created. In this world man would have to work, till the soil, in sorrow bear children, and death would become a reality. In one final effort to redeem man, God sent a substitute, a ransom, for man. In His Son was an opportunity to enjoy all that heaven has to offer. We can still enjoy it right now. In fact, the scripture declares that it pleased the Father to give us the kingdom. Where are you right now in your belief? Do you intend to keep believing Satan’s lies or will you allow your faith to cause his abundance to flow over the bridge to you? God wants nothing less for you than the absolute best. It’s available and it’s all for you. By Naomi J. Brown |
