WHAT’S NEXT????

What could those men have been thinking when they high-jacked the planes with thousands of innocent lives on board? What could have been going on in their minds knowing that they would not only kill themselves, but everyone else on board? I wonder what the passengers could have been thinking as they sat there. Were they afraid, or praying and crying out to God asking him to show them some mercy? Were they preparing themselves for what was imminent? What went on in the mind of Todd Beamer as he recited the Lord’s Prayer and prepared to stop the terrorists?

There are so many things going on in the world today. We must stop and pray to God for an answer to the perplexing problems facing our world. The Bible declares that "Men should always pray and not faint." Constant, fervent prayer is the only hope for our dying world. We must keep pressing on toward the mark who is Christ Jesus. He is the builder of the broken down walls of our society. In him, we are complete and the best we will ever be.

The book of Matthew declares that the perilous times we are facing are here to stay. Things will never get any better. If ever there were a time for men to seek God, people, that time is now. It is the task of the elder to teach the younger. In order to teach though, we must first be examples. Our lives are the patterns the generations to follow must emulate. When Christ walked on the earth, he was our example. We were to live our lives as he instructed. Now that he has departed, he left for us a helper. This comforter would live in and shine through us. It would lead us in the ways of truth. Without it, we will surely fall. WHAT’S NEXT?? The book of Revelations states, " Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and sup with him and he with me." Revelations 3:20. If we are willing and obedient to the Spirit, we will sit in heavenly places with the Father. If we are not, What’s next is a life filled with eternal damnation. What’s next for you? You decide.
