Have you noticed that people today are under a lot of stress? Nobody chooses it, but it is impossible to avoid. Jesus said, "In the world we would have tribulation". He was right. Living for God is a beautiful life and it’s the right thing to do, but sometimes it’s just plain difficult.

We don’t plan to have difficulty in relationships, it just happens. We don’t plan to be burdened by the everyday issues of growing up, it just happens. We don’t plan to be baffled by difficult decisions, disappointments or unexpected turns in events, it just happens.

But no matter how much these unexpected stresses come, we know that God’s Word is available to us, and His grace is more than enough to sustain us.

Most parents work very hard to maintain a comfortable standard of living. This sometimes requires them to work long hours. Even youth feel the need to start working earlier in order to be in style. They don’t want to go outside unless they are dressed a certain way. These things create a lot of stress, and makes things complicated.

The Christian life is a life of balance. Stress tends to push us off center and makes us feel unpleasant. Yet the God of all comfort is our eternal source of relief. As we spend time in the Word of God and walk in obedience and trust, we will discover that all things really do work together for good to them that love God (see Romans 8:28).

There are many things that we can do to improve our situation. For example, we can get eat right, get proper rest, exercise and avoid negative situations. But we still need God’s truth to give us the wisdom we need to deal with situations in a healthy way.

We don’t have to let unplanned stress rob us of joy and victory. God will give us the grace we need to enjoy success in our life.
