Signs, Wonders, And Notable MiraclesOver the years I can’t help but notice that something has happened to our system of time. An hour doesn’t seem as long as it once was. All around us, things are happening. No one can be certain of anything, but one thing is certain. Jesus is coming again very soon. Any Biblically conscience individual will agree that events unfolding before us are just as the Bible predicted. Therefore, I must warn you that if you have been putting off doing something important, don’t hesitate any longer. Do it now. If the "something" you need to do involves correcting a disagreement or misunderstanding between yourself and someone else, you must do it quickly. A frequently quoted statement we must never forget is that "tomorrow is not promised to us." We must do things immediately. A scripture which supports these claims can be found in the book of Psalms 90:10, "Then length of our days is seventy or eighty, if we have the strength, yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass and we fly away." Just as the psalmist implies, our lives are for but a short while, and we are gone. Another thing I must add is that many people don’t even get to the ripe old age of seventy, they die much younger. Therefore, it is very important we live every moment of every day. It is also vital that we stay ready to hear God’s voice, as he will instruct us in the way we should live. "Acknowledge the Lord in all your ways and we direct your path." God is not only available to hear the plea of some individuals but He is moving all over the world performing miracles and acts of greatness. Through evangelism, He is sweeping through the highways and byways, gathering and bringing in everyone who will hear his voice. The only thing he asks of us is to take heed to what we have heard less at any time we will let them slip or become ineffective. The clarion call of the Father is not to a select few, but according to the writer of Corinthians, God calls no one because of their status in life: be it rich or poor, black or white, educated or illiterate. His love and desire is to see His people prosper and enjoy all that life has to offer. After all, He gave His Son so that all He has will be ours as well. In dealing with the miraculous love and power of the Father the apostle Paul declares, "He was determined not to know anything except Jesus anointed and crucified." Although a leader of the Hebrews, an eloquent speaker, and one of the greatest prophets ever to preach the gospel, Paul counted himself as dumb, so that he might obtain the Excellency of Christ. He was a slave for Christ and well versed in the gospel. Just as the apostle Paul counted all that he had as loss, we must also. Spreading the gospel must be our primary goal in life. We must relentlessly seek after God and observe the signs, and wonders that Jesus spoke of in the book of Acts 10:38. In closing, please remember that God’s word make some bodies out of nobodies, and it will bring to naught anything that tries to exalt itself against the power and authority of the Father.
