Sharing The Love Of Jesus

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come 2 Corinthians 5:17

Have you ever been asked to share something with someone else that you really didn’t want to share? Maybe it was a piece of candy or your favorite toy. Most likely you smiled and said "O.K.", but you really wanted to be left alone.

We are all selfish people. We only care about what is best for ourselves. But we were not created that way. When God created the first man and woman, they weren’t selfish at all. They were made to love, care and share. But the first man and woman fell into sin, and that sin was passed on to us.

That is why sometimes we are mean and hateful. If someone mistreats us, we plan how to get them back. If someone has something that we don’t have, we want them to lose it. We want to be more important than everybody else. We are really miserable, and it’s all because of sin.

But God didn’t leave us without hope. He sent Jesus to die on a cross as a payment for our sins. If we receive Jesus as our Savior, we have forgiveness of all our sin. Jesus takes them away.

When Jesus saves us, He teaches us how to love others. We care about others because Jesus cares about them. We learn that sharing the love of Jesus is a better way to live.

Prayer – Lord Jesus. Help us to share your love with others. Help us to be kind to others because you are so kind to us. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
