One Of A KindI will praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well Psalms 139:14. In the South where I live, it rarely snows in the winter. But in places like Minnesota and Wisconsin, it snows a lot. When we look at all that snow, we rarely think about a single snowflake. But each snowflake is different. Since no two snowflakes are alike, that makes every one of them special. So each time a snowflake forms, it’s a one of a kind event. Snow in the south is very special, but if it stays a long time it is no longer special. People in the south have a hard time dealing with long lasting snow. In our scripture, David describes how special we are to God. God made us one of a kind. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. God knows everything there is to know about us. He knew us before we were born. People may get tired of seeing snow, even though each flake is special. But God never gets tired of us. He will always take good care of us. Prayer – Father God, we praise You having made us to be so wonderfully special, and for taking such good care of us. Help us to honor and appreciate each person in our family and in the world, because no matter how different we are, you made us one of a kind. In Jesus’ Name. Read Psalms 139: 13-16 |
