You Belong To Him

Little children, you are of God, (you belong to Him) and have (already) overcome them (the agents of the Antichrist), because He who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 (AMP)

Have you ever said, "If things were different, I would do this or that?" Why not do something about it as it is. The time to exercise faith is now, not when things change.

Notice that it says, "You belong to Him". you are His child. He is alive, active and at work in you. Do you realize what Christ is doing in you? He is producing fruit. Not just singing ad dancing, but His own kind of fruit.

Few come to understand the power associated with the work that Christ is doing in us. In the 15th chapter of John, Jesus described what His relationship to the believer is like: "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit."

No person can bring forth fruit on his own, because the life is in Jesus. No matter how many good works we perform, it won’t produce fruit. This only comes through an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, and He alone can claim the glory.

The Amplified version says that he cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit." If we truly belong to Him, we must allow Him the freedom to work within us. God is producing in us all the things we need to be successful witnesses for Him. He doesn’t do things in a mediocre way, but His life in us is richer, fuller, and more excellent.

The greater one is working in us. Any force that tries to stop God from doing His own personal work in us will have to deal with God. We are already aware of the fact that we have overcome. It is no secret. In Galatians 5:23, it says against such there is no law. It is referring to the life of the person that is producing the Fruits of the Spirit. there is no law that can successfully bring an accusation against it.

The law of sickness cannot be successfully planted in a fruit producing life. The laws of poverty can never prevail over a fruitful life. Isaiah 54:17 says, "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn, this is the heritage of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me saith the Lord."

Here is a wonderful example of a New Testament scripture recorded in the Old Testament. It did not say that the weapon wouldn’t come against you, but it will not prosper. Why? Because our righteousness is of God. God is working in us, and as long we allow Him to work, He is under obligation to take care of us.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you John 15:7. God guarantees that our prayers will be answered when we are bearing fruit. Jesus tells us why in verse 8, "Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples." When you produce much fruit, God is honored and glorified. It is the one sure way to prove that you are truly a follower of Christ.

Are you ready to move out into the deeper things of life? Are you ready to tap into the secret of answered prayer and a time proven character? Are you willing to let God be glorified in your body and mind? Then let God work in you. He knows just what to do.
