Take A Stand
Youth today face many temptations. Even though
giving your life to Christ is the greatest thing you can do, it will not stop
friends from trying to get you to do wrong things. When you are faced with a
situation where your friends are trying to get you to compromise your faith, you
need to take a stand.
To be successful, you need to say "No" to them, and "Yes" to God. While yielding to your friends may promise a good time, if you know that you will be doing wrong things, you will feel much better by saying "no". Each time you take a stand, it gets easier and easier.
Sure, temptation is out there, and it’s hard to resist it. The bible says, "Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted Hebrews 2:18. If you really want to resist temptation, God will help you. He understands because He’s been tempted too. Trust God to help you with all that you are dealing with.
