Little Becomes A Lot

The bible tells the story of how Jesus fed a multitude of people with only 2 fish and 5 small loaves of bread. The lunch belonged to a little boy. All together there were 5000 men, plus women and children. That’s a lot of happy meals.

They needed a lot but all they had was a little. Yet from this little, Jesus created a lot. He gave thanks to God and blessed the bread and fish. Then He started feeding people; and the more He gave out, the more He had to give. By the time everyone finished eating, He took up way more than He started out with.

You may say, "That’s impossible". It is for us, but nothing is impossible with God. He can use even the smallest of things to fulfill His purpose.

Just like God used this little boy, He can use us. God can work through us to help somebody else. It may be a little word of encouragement or a short prayer for someone that’s sick. It may seem like what we have to offer is so small. But God can use little things to do great things.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank you for choosing us to be your helpers here on earth. May the little things that we do for you bring glory to your Name, and may your love reach others through us. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
