The Katinas Sing What Is Real and TrueThe Katinas, Sam, Joe, Jesse, and twin brothers James and John have been singing since they were little boys. When all five brothers moved to Nashville from American Samoa to start in the Christian music industry, they became a hit right off. Now, with their sixth album, Destiny, the five brothers bring their voices together to make a masterpiece. They sound like N-Sync and the Backstreet Boys, but they sing worshipfully. The Katinas are nothing like N-Sync or the Backstreet Boys, but their of music is the same. When I put in the album I was surprised at how awesome these guys were. I had thought that all of their music was slow, but that isn’t the case at all. Right now I can’t stop listening to it, and my family is starting to wonder what the Katinas are all about. One of my favorite songs on their new album, called Thank You, talks about giving your all to Christ. The chorus goes like this: "Here I am with all I am, Raise my hands to worship you, I wanna say thank you, oh thank you. For everything, for who you are, You cover me, you touch my heart, I wanna say thank you." Not only do I like the style of music, but I like the message that they give. All their songs talk about God’s love and what God does for you. One song even invites people to give all of their hearts to God right where they are. The Katinas sing what’s real and true. They don’t try to hide what they believe in their songs or in their everyday lives. The five brothers try to keep their focus on God, and their new album definitely proves that they do. I recommend the Katinas Destiny CD to everyone. It will not only lift your soul, but also speak to your heart. I grade this album an A+. (Copyright Crosswalk .com Inc. – all rights reserved) |
