And the Lord said unto Satan, "The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire? " (Zechariah 3:2)

By media accounts, Generation Xers and Nexters have been shafted. They have been labeled the biggest bunch of losers in contemporary society. The prophets of secularity have written our children off as the worse of the worst. According to their philosophy our children lack ambition, dreams, and motivation. They have grown up in a world that is on the brink of disaster. Our kids are not career-oriented, and are doomed to holding down a McDonald's job while living at home with their parents. While secular humanists go about prophesying doom upon our youth, God

has another agenda.

When God set out to change history, the first thing on His agenda was to establish a testimony. "When there is no vision, the people perish." They simply "die out".

After the fall of man in Eden, God's purpose was one of restoration. This is brought about through the miracle of the new birth. Jesus said to His disciples, "I have to leave now so that the Holy Spirit can come." (John 16:7) He descended into heaven and sent His Spirit to dwell in and work through us. The Spirit is to us what Jesus was to his disciples (in the flesh").

If Jesus was not divine in nature, He would be liken unto the Vatican who is confined to a TV screen. His strategy for redemption was to demonstrate who He was, and to place His people in areas of "barren-ness." The world was His stage, people His purpose, and eternity His destiny.

Jesus loved man unconditionally. Red, yellow, black and white; we are all precious in His sight.

Since His earthly presence, history has shown that Jesus sought whon the world reject’s. Consider Nicodemus, the lame man, the entombed man, Jairus' daughter; we all can affirm that He chose the least ones.

If it could be said that God took a risk, He did so when He created someone apart from Himself. He took a greater risk when He made man in His image and after His likeness; a man that would break His promise and His heart. An even greater risk was taken when Jesus became a man. He took what was perfect and brought it to an imperfect world because of His love for man.

God is still taking risks today. Anytime he allow us to represent Him, it's a risk.

Throughout history, God has preferred what the world calls LOSERS. David the shepherd boy; Mephibosheth, Jonathan's son; Joseph, and Paul. God loves it when experts write off a generation as hopeless, useless, and a worthless cause. He delights in taking losers and making them leaders.

The Generation X are the Generation God will be seeking Next!!!!!!
