When you first started reading the bible, it won’t seem anything is happening. But don’t let that fool you. Soon you will be seeing things you didn’t see before. You will start recognizing special promises that belong to you because you are God’s very own child. You life will change more and more as you understand how great God’s love for you is, and how special you are to Him.

When you consistently study the bible, it shows how important the Word of God is to you. Many people spend their whole life looking for buried treasure, but never find it. Think about all that work for nothing. But when you study your bible, you are filling your life with treasure that will bless you for years to come.

Jesus said to "Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, and strength" Matthew 22:37. As you do this, you will began to understand the things that God views as valuable.
