The Holy Ghost Is Here
About 6,000 years ago, man’s moral clock began to wind down as a result of Adam’s disobedience. Death, destruction, and damnation reigned over all the earth. God, having known man would sin, devised a plan that would redeem man and put him in right standing with his Creator.
What was this redemptive plan, and how would it assist man in bridging the gap between him and God?
During the period after the flood, there were glimpses of God’s miraculous power, but not until Pentecost would man experience the true omnipotence of the Almighty.
Who was this Anointed One? Many have attempted to answer that
question with phrases which described him as "Abel’s sacrifice; Noah’s
rainbow; Abraham’s well and Jacob’s ladder." He became "Hezekiah’s
sundial; Judah’s scepter; Jeremiah’s wheel in the middle of a wheel and the
fourth man in the fiery furnace.
Peter, the apostle, later described Jesus through the eyes of the Spirit as "the Christ, the Son of the living God." It was upon that revelation Christ would later establish his church daring the gates of hell to prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)
Throughout the ages, the Anointing has been present in everything from a staff to a shadow. In the book of Exodus, the anointing was present in Moses’ staff. It was also present at the Red Sea, allowing the Israelites to cross over on dry land. (Exodus 14:21)
The same anointing that was on Jesus as he walked the cobblestone streets of Jerusalem, is present in these final hours.
It healed the blind eyes of Bartimaeus (see Mark 10:46-52), resurrected the dead corpse of Lazarus (see John 11:43), and raised Jairus’ daughter from prolonged cardiac arrest (Luke 8:49-56).
The anointing that is present today; this Great Outpouring, will be the last of its kind before Jesus returns to rapture his church.
