Keep Holding On To The WordSo shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing where to I sent it Isaiah 55:11 Whatever God has promised you, He will for sure bring it to pass. The same verse in the Message bible says His word will not come back empty-handed. Men make promises without any clue how they will fulfill them. But God does not. He has never spoken an idle word. When He speaks a word, it happens every time. That is why we must train ourselves to focus on God’s Word and not our problems. I know that can be hard to do sometimes, but believe me, the Word is far more real than any problem we may face. That is why we should keep on holding on to what God has said. Did you know that the battleground for the problem that we are facing right now is in our mind and on our lips? Any thought that the enemy can successfully sow into our mind will give him the advantage. If we hit the devil with the Word and cast the care of the situation on God, we will win. God has made us winners through His Word. I think it’s only fair to warn you that holding on to the Word of God is not always easy. The enemy is relentless in his attempts to steal the Word out of our heart. He has been doing it for generations, and he knows every possible trick in the book. But as long as we keep holding on to the Word, we will defeat that liar each and every time. It is so important for us to remain focused when fighting the enemy. He is consistent, and does absolutely everything he can to keep us away from the Word. We may have to turn off the television, stay home from the shopping mall and hang up the telephone. Whatever we have to do to keep holding on to the Word of God, we must be willing to do it. Remember, it is the Word that does the work. Even though we are the ones speaking it, the Word makes the accomplishment. It will work for anyone who will put it to work. So keep holding on to the Word of God, and expect victory to come your way. Lindia Brown |
