A Healthy Body Is God’s Will

God made our bodies, and there are things that we can do to keep it healthy and feeling good. There are also things that we can do to feel good about the way we look. God made us all different, and we shouldn’t take our cues from the air brushed images we observe on billboards, in magazines and on television commercials. These things focus on seemingly perfect bodies, and it’s unrealistic to compare ourselves to them.

If you want to look better, then do something about it. I am in favor of anything that improves the quality of our lives as long as it is safe and our motives are right. If we exercise regularly and eat balanced meals, we will enjoy a healthy body. Our goal should always be better health, and the rest will fall in place.

As our health improves, we start to feel better and look better. Our body is the temple of God; therefore we should take really good care of it.

Food is the primary thing that causes our body to change. Wrong dietary intake can even make us sick. We should consider what we eat on a day-to-day basis. Fruits and vegetables are a healthy choice of food to eat everyday. We should also drink a lot of water to keep our body well hydrated. This is especially important of very hot days. We should also avoid high fat foods no matter how good it tastes.

We should try very hard to get some type of exercise three or four times a week. Some good examples are aerobics, walking, running and swimming. The important thing is to consistently stick with it. Not only does exercise help to burn calories, it also benefits your heart, lungs and cardiovascular systems. There are countless medical studies that show the benefits of exercise on our health.

Remember, God is interested in every aspect of your life, including your health and fitness. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thou soul prospereth 3 John 2. So it is fairly easy to see that a healthy body is God’s will for us.

So let’s get into His will and be healthy and strong. God will help us if we just ask Him and believe.
