Good and Bad

For the past few days, it has been raining a lot. Rain is good because it makes flowers grow. But if you want to play outside or go on a picnic, rain is bad. Today the sun was out and dried up all the rainwater. The sun is good. But if it’s really hot and you can’t find any shade, then the sun can burn you. That’s bad.

Many things in life can be either good or bad. But some things are always bad. For example, disobeying God and doing wrong is always bad. There is no big sin or small sin. Sin is just wrong and it will always be. In fact, sin is so bad that it separates us from God.

That’s why God sent Jesus to die on the cross for us. He took the punishment for our sin so that we can go to God and ask Him to forgive us.

God loves us and will forgive us. God’s love is always the same no matter how terrible we act. God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Prayer: Father, we thank you that your love for us is always the same. You never get tired of loving us. Thank you for always listening to our prayers, and for forgiving our sins. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
