God Is Good

I have found out that there are a lot of people who think that God is the cause of the bad things that happen to them. But that simply cannot be true because God is not bad; God is good.

God is so good that He wants to bless each and every one of His children. Psalms 145:9 says that the Lord is good to all and his tender mercies are over all his works. Do you know what Jesus is saying to us today? He is saying, "What can I do for you? How can I help you to move forward? What can I do to motivate you and make your life purpose filled?

All we need to do is believe that God loves us. We need to know that because He loves us, He will be good to us. The Word says that eyes have not seen nor ears heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those who love Him (see 1 Corinthians 2:9).

God has a good plan for our life, and He wants us to wake up and walk in that plan. God is so good that He gave His life to save us and set us free from the hand of the enemy. Not only that, but He made a covenant with us that if we love Him with all of our heart, our mind, our soul and body, that He would protect us, prosper us, heal us, and deliver us from everything the enemy brings our way. Now that’s a good God. Glory, glory, glory.

God has treasures beyond all our natural mind can comprehend. He has already figured out what is good for us and what is not (as if He had to). He knows that it is good for us to have "more than enough" natural provision in our lives. He knows that it is good for our children to be blessed, and for us to be physically and emotionally healthy. On the other hand, God knows it is not good for us to be sick, poor, oppressed and full of fear.

David understood the goodness of God. David fellowshipped with God and came to know His nature. He knew that God was a loving God, and that He was good, kind and patient. David trusted God to take care of him, provide for him, and deliver him from danger. And from that insight David wrote the 23rd Psalm.

The deeper you understand Psalms 23, the more you will be able to trust God in every circumstance of life. The more we come to understand the goodness of God, the more we can entrust our lives to Him so that He can pour out His blessings on us. God wants us to see His goodness everywhere we look; our homes, our family, our jobs and our spiritual lives. It is a good thing to look and see God working in our lives.

God wants to give us the desires of our heart. I know that sounds too good to be true, but He does. If we consider the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross to redeem us, it sounds too good to be true. But it’s true nonetheless.

If you find out what the bible says about the goodness of God and dare to believe it, things will began to change in your life in a wonderful way. Not only will you began to see the goodness of God in the Word of God, but you will see it all around you everyday. Now that is what I call living.
