There To Forgive
Jesus came to forgive us of all our sins. He wants us to live a peaceful and joyous life, and He knew that it was not possible unless we could be forgiven. Therefore, He is at the right hand of the Father making intercessions for us. He is there to forgive us. Now when we do wrong, even think wrong thoughts, we have the blood bought right to cast those thoughts down, ask God to forgive us and walk in liberty. Don’t fall into the trap of allowing the devil to beat you over the head with guilt and condemnation. Tell that accuser that you have been forgiven of whatever it is, and walk in the peace of God. Now if God has forgiven us, then we should forgive one another. To accept forgiveness from God and not give forgiveness to our fellow man is an injustice. In fact, if we don’t forgive others, God cannot forgive us. When someone does us wrong by lying on us or stabbing us in the back, we cannot afford to hold grudges or harbor wrath. We must ask God to help us forgive them. It may not be easy, but as God goes by, God will help us forget about the injustice done to us. God says we must forgive in order to be forgiven. You may say, "I’ll for give when I feel like it." Well, holding on to unforgiveness is a sin. Forget about your feelings. Go ahead and forgive the person in your family that hurt you so badly. Forgive that co-worker that makes your life so miserable. Forgive that friend that brought injustice and criticism upon you. If you forgive, you open the door for God to help you. He is right there waiting and eager to deliver you from every wrong you’ve ever done. He is there to forgive. By: Lindia Brown |
