Casting
Down Evil Thoughts
Thoughts. They make up our entire mind. And if we meditate on a thought long
enough, it becomes a part of our being.
What we think about all day long has a profound effect on our attitude and
our ways. That is why we need to make a habit of thinking about good things,
things that have the capacity to lift us up and keep us happy and positive.
Your thoughts can change the way you see people. You may say, "No
way". Well, if you think bad thoughts about a person, then when you finally
see that person face to face, you will have a bad attitude toward them. You may
be short with them or avoid them altogether. Bad thoughts made your behavior
mad.
But if you had good thoughts about that person, you will be happy to see
them. You would make eye contact, smile, show them kindness and possibly take
them out to lunch. Can you see how thoughts affect us?
The bible instructs us to cast down imaginations, and every high thing
that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God; and bringing into captivity
every thought to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. That is
something that we have to do. If our thinking does not line up with the Word of
God, we need to cast it down. Refuse to allow negative depressing thoughts rest
or linger in your mind. Get rid of them. Let this mind be in you, which was
also in Christ Jesus.
Don’t let evil thoughts take over your life. Cast then down and live in the
peace of God. (Memorize Galatians 5:22,23 and test your thoughts).
