The Decision of Decisions

The choice to make Jesus the Lord of your life is a decision that impacts every other decision that you will ever make.

When you decide to sincerely serve Christ, your interest in the opposite sex will not change. You will still feel that hormonal rush when you see someone that is physically attractive. You will still face the temptation to follow the pleasure-seeking crowd. But just because you "feel" something, that doesn’t mean you have to perform it; especially when your actions contradict what you know is right.

Jesus Christ gives us a deeper concern about how our choices impact others. We become more sensitive to what we say and do, and how it affects our future. We care about the pain we may bring into the lives of our parents and others.

It is never too late to start making good choices. When you decide to serve Jesus, you no longer need to feel confused about what is the proper way to act. You don’t have to feel trapped between emotions and peer pressure. Jesus frees you to follow the opportunities that come your way through the right choices you make. As a result, our real dreams start to come into view.

A decision to follow Jesus is a decision to love Him more than anyone or anything else. Every other decision you make in life centers around that one fact. No matter what relationship you are involved in or what career you pursue, you want to be sure that your life choices please your first love.

Following Jesus Christ is the biggest most important decision that you will ever make. It is the decision of decision. Let’s be sure we get it right.
