Be Faithful

It’s hard to stand against peer pressure. Let’s face it; being different is tough; and not just for teens. Adults face peer pressure too.

It’s like being between a rock and a hard place. No matter what place you find to sit down, it’s an uncomfortable place.

Every Christian wants to be a good witness for Jesus. We certainly don’t desire to make Him ashamed. But we don’t want to be a nerd either. We know we have to be different, but we want our friends to accept us the way we are. Christians. And sometimes that creates a problem.

To be honest, living in Christ is not hard. Living in world is the difficult thing. And when Christians try to have a little of both worlds, it creates a tense environment where we eventually lose our peace.

Listen friend. We can only serve one Master. We aren’t just some spirituals hippies living each day feeling threatened by the daylight. We are ambassadors for Christ. He has chosen us to be His witness, and He has given us a message of salvation. We model His character and we honor Him with our faith. We work for Him 24/7/365.

So when He needs us to be something, we need to be ready. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of your inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Jesus Christ Colossians 3:23-23. It will be worth it all on the day we hear Him say, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of the Lord" see Matthew 25:23.

Jesus never promised this life would be easy, but He did say it would be worth it all. We just need to be faithful. Each day we will face Satan and his wrecking crew. They will do everything they can to destroy our faith. But no matter what they send our way, we can stay faithful to Christ.
