The Authority of the Believer

Satan and his angels are running rampant in our world. Through acts of deception and perversion, he has "stolen the planks of freedom from our lives and we are held captive." I ask you, "WHO" is going to come forward and declare in the name of Jesus, "Enough is enough?"

Also, "WHO" will demand that this thief give back "Everything" that he has stolen from us?

Adam was given dominion over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. In Genesis, man was blessed, and told to be "fruitful, and multiply, and replenish (bring back to fullness and completeness) the earth, and subdue it: (to gain "Dominion" over) and have dominion over every living creature that moveth upon the earth." In a word, Adam had it "Made." This plan for man could have gone on forever, but what happened? Why did man ultimately lose everything? In Genesis 3:17, God spoke unto Adam and declared, "Because thou hast hearken unto the voice of thy wife, and hast done what I told you "not to do," Cursed is the ground for thy sake." From that moment until now, man is still a victim of the curse. But thank God for the second Adam, who gave himself as a ransom for all.

SO, who’s in charge? How much authority does the believer has? People, this may come as a shock to you, but Satan has absolutely no legal authority on this earth. When man was formed, he was given earthly authority. As born-again believers, "we have the anointing and the authority to drive the works of Satan out of our lives and to stand in the gap for others. Proverbs 6:31 says of a thief, "If he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house." And to make it even better, God has promised to "restore to you the years that the locust has eaten." Joel 2:25 (KJV) So God requires that the devil not only give us back all that he took, but it must be seven times greater than he stole. Talk about authority!!!!

We serve an omnipotent God, meaning that he is "Omni’’ all potent or all-powerful. There is potential in God the likes we have not yet seen on this earth. God not only encourages, but he intends for us to take back what is ours and exercise authority over the forces of darkness. How can we do it? We can do like Jesus did, by declaring to Satan the Word of the Living God. We can make it happen by telling him what is written in the pages of the Bible. The WORD is our weapon of mass destruction. It has been known to destroy perpetrators, to wipe out entire nations, and to annihilate sin. It is our only hope. So how do we have faith to believe God for spiritual power, authority, and deliverance? The secret lies in one word: Grace. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8,9 (KJV) Grace is the unmerited favor of God. One cannot earn, nor does he deserve it. It is, as the Bible states, "The gift of God." I struggled with receiving from God until I learned that, as a believer, I possessed authority over circumstances that were occurring in my life. I originally thought that I had to accept whatever card life dealt me, but no more. I cannot single-handedly make something happen but by seeking God, patiently waiting (This is extremely difficult for me) and exercising my authority as a believer, that is, telling the devil that I will not accept defeat, failure, depression or dismay about anything. The scripture instructs us to speak to the mountains of life and command them to be removed. In closing, I appeal to you to exercise your authority and look for the results. I intend to!!!!!!!!!!
