Born
To Be A Blessing
We were born to be a blessing. You may be laughing at that
statement, or you may be shaking your head in disagreement. But I really believe
that God has us here to be a blessing.
Whatever position we are in right now, we are there to be a
blessing. We are a blessing to our husband, our children, our friends, and every
person that we come in contact with. But in order for us to walk in fullness in
that area, we must believe that we are a blessed.
Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be
in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy
ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of
thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when
thou comest in, and blessed shalt be when thou goest out Deuteronomy 28:
3-6. We received all these blessings the moment we made Jesus the Lord of our
life. God has blessed every possible area of our life.
God did not give us these blessings just to keep for
ourselves and our select group of favorite people. He is giving us the power to
help and encourage someone else. He wants us to meet the needs of others so that
they will see God’s favor on within us.
You see, it is God who gives us the ability to make wealth
(see Deuteronomy 8:18). But He gives it to us in order to establish His kingdom
in this earth. It is by God’s grace that we have been placed in a position to
inherit such a promise, and I am personally thankful to Him for it.
I echo the Psalmist words when he said, "The Lord is
my Shepherd, I shall not Want" Psalms 23:1. I have been blessed with
all that I will ever need to have and enjoy life. Who hath delivered us from
the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even forgiveness of sins Colossians
1:13-14.
God is able to make all grace and every earthly favor come to
us in abundance, so that we will always, under all circumstances, and whatever
the need, be self-sufficient (possessing enough to require no aid or support)
and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation
see 2 Corinthians 9:8 AMP.
Now let your life be a blessing to everyone that you meet.
Believe in your heart that your life is something special to God, and look for
the opportunities He sends to be a blessing. Then you will see for yourself how
blessed you really are.
